Pastor Carroll Frankland was called to be the Pastor of Messiah Baptist Church on September 5, 2021. Graduating from Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College, San Dimas, California, where he met his wife Jamie, and were married in July of 1973.

In October of 1974, Pastor Carroll became the Youth Director at New Testament Baptist in Tucson, Arizona. In July of 1979 He became the Pastor of Ellsworth Baptist Temple, Ellsworth Maine, where he served for 10 years.

Due to an illness of his oldest daughter, he resigned and moved back to Tucson where he spent the next 32 years as Associate Pastor under the leadership of Dr. J.C. Joiner.

Pastor and Jamie developed Vacation Bible Schools, a State wide Junior Camp, Mission Conferences, and Revivals, many Men’s and Ladies activities, retreats, banquets, and Sunday school activities.

Pastor and Jamie have three grown children, and 9 grandchildren.

Seeing the needs of Messiah Baptist, and bringing their vast experience into this ministry, their goal is to glorify God, to bring people to the saving knowledge of Christ, develop people spiritually, and reach boys and girls through area outreaches and activities.

Pastor Carroll’s heart is to build a strong soul winning church, reaching the spiritual needs of people in Bangor and surrounding areas.

Pastor’s favorite verse is Philippians 3:13 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.”
